Xlist not working civil 3d5/25/2023 As it appears to be confusing for you when those things come over to our software. There could be bad data management going on here (I didn't set it up) but the fact this is even possible leads to all sorts of confusion. Yes, I can XLIST things, but I much prefer elements to be on the layer they are on, so to speak. Since the power pole block was created on layer 0, but placed on layer PWP, selecting the block to Freeze does not freeze PWP - it freezes 0, along with every other block in my drawing. That AutoCAD theme of placing elements/features on "more than one layer" is a source of never-ending frustration to this Microstation user - particularly when I want to freeze certain blocks. While that may not be ideal, it is the only way I have been certain that elements come across the way I expect. Lists the type, block name, layer name, color and linetype of a nested object in a block or an xref. I know that if you explode your features, they lose the feature definition and keep the linework properties. ATT ATTDEF Opens attribute definition dialogue box ATTEDIT ATTEDIT Edit. I believe Microstation brings elements over on the level of the linework, not the level of the feature. Not all of the shortcuts listed work with AutoCAD LT. This happens all through AutoCAD - blocks are often created on layer 0 so that the linework will take the layer properties of the active layer when they are placed, but the block itself remains on layer 0. I will see C-ROAD-Kirk30 in the properties dialog, but if I look at the alignment style I see that the lines are drawn on C-ROAD-ALGN. For instance, in Civil 3D, I can create an Alignment feature on C-ROAD-Kirk30, but the actual linework is created on C-ROAD-ALGN. More likely is the fact that AutoCAD can place features on a different level than the linework that makes them up. It's possible that you have some remapping set up that is affecting the output. By default, level names should come across the same as layer names.
